BEcause brand experience

A new installation at the Barbican has got people talking this month.  Art studio Random International have created an interactive installation where members of the public can walk around in a heavy downpour without getting wet.  3D motion sensors track people’s movement and turn the rain on and off accordingly.  The experience is surreal, completely unique and rather beautiful.

BEcause brand experience - 21 swings

A interactive installation designed to get people to collaborate has recently appeared in Montreal.  It consisted of 21 swings that, when used, triggered musical notes.  If users swung in unison the swings would play a composed piece.

We love this interactive art, which is currently on display in Paris.  A façade of a building, complete with internal lights and weathered brickwork lies flat on the ground.  A giant mirror looms above and when people interact with the building on the ground the reflection makes it look like they are hanging off the window ledges.  It is a fantastic illusion and was created to encourage audience participation and foster a sense of community.  Photos of seemingly daring poses posted online has meant that  interest in this installation has spread far and wide.  We expect to see much more coverage appear as the installation will remain in place until the beginning of March.

To launch a new campaign, designed to make people more aware of the amount of rubbish that is collected daily in Westminster, a replica of Marble Arch was built that was made entirely out of refuse picked up off the street. The installation was made up from 120 bags of rubbish, collected from Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street in a single day.  The model was smaller than the real arch but would have been the same size if made up from two days’ worth of rubbish.  Westminster Council spends around £14m on its street cleansing operations every year and it is hoped that this campaign will persuade the public to be more mindful of the effects of littering on the councils resources.
