We’ve been hired by Gü, the premium deserts brand, to launch a sampling and pampering experience aimed at Christmas shoppers at key locations this month.

Gü’s “Give In To Sparkle” campaign will provide a pop-up experience where shoppers can rest their weary feet and enjoy some pampering. Brand Ambassadors will invite the public to enter a competition to win indulgent little treats.  They will also hand out samples of Gü puddings, whilst emphasising key brand messages and encouraging people to seek out those sparkling little moments of happiness.  A team of Gü brand ambassadors will also be on hand to provide on-site makeovers.

Gü was launched in 2003 with a chocolate pudding range that proved highly popular in supermarkets across the UK. Today the company estimates four Gü puddings are eaten, somewhere in the world, each second.

Anna Bradshaw, Account Director at BEcause, comments:

“Shoppers are frantically going from pillar to post in the run up to Christmas. So we want to remind them it’s OK to take a moment out and give in to sparkle! Gü is all about those little pleasures in life and we are delighted to be running this campaign to strengthen the brand message just before Christmas.”

The roadshow will appear in Westfield (White City) and Covent Garden on the 16th and 17th of December respectively. It will then travel to The Bullring in Birmingham on the 21st of December, and The Trafford Centre in Manchester the following day.

Post by BEcause XM

Everyone we all wish you a merry Christmas, and to help any  people who are not in the spirit yet check out just how excited this little kid was.

In my day we were lucky to get a lump of coal from Santa…

Where can you find gingerbread love hearts, Pretzels, Spanish Churros, Belgium Waffles, German Feuerzangenbowle (mulled wine), beer, Krakauer (spicy German sausage) and authentic German French fries (not sure how that one works?) all in one place? At the annual winter wonderland at Hyde Park of course, who needs to leave London to experience an International Christmas market and carnival?  The Bavarian Village has gorgeous chalet style shops which are packed with yummy goodies, trinkets and baubles.  The Canadian talking moose head has to be seen to be believed.  What more could a girl want than a talking moose, snow and mulled wine?  Oh can’t forget the sweet shops stocked full of my favorite Haribo goodies.

My 1st visit on Sunday afternoon with a friend’s 4 year old in tow was great as we got to visit Santaland and ride on the Santa Express (previous experience tells me that you can look a bit strange if you don’t have a child in tow on the kiddie rides).  My 2nd visit on Wednesday night was an adult’s only affair with plenty of big kid entertainment.  Lots of mulled wine, beer and food.  The Ghost train made me laugh, a little scared of the roller coaster and the black hole was short and sweet but good.  Rides I missed due to irrational fear of heights included: the Giant Wheel, the big tall thing that looked way to scary and the reverse bungee (husband still suffering from that one). We refrained from the ice skating as didn’t want to show anyone up with my dancing on ice skills!

A Very Viral Xmas

Post by BEcause XM

A brilliant christmas viral here for everyone, admittedly this was launched last year, but that just goes to show the great re-usability of launching a Christmas ad.

With over a million views on youtube this has to be yet another sure example of how a relatively cheap viral launched at the right time, in the right way, can give massive impact for a brand. I just wish I was in the creative meeting when someone piped up with the idea… “So let’s get a bank of microwaves, right. Then let’s make them all ping in time to the tune of Jingle Bells.” Must have been quite a bit of microwaved mulled wine.

Festive

Post by BEcause XM

Getting in the spirit of all things festive, team BEcause got involved today with the annual Christmas decs. Have a look at our progression from regular office to winter wonderland.

Starting with recovering our veteran tree from the back of the broom cupboard….

After unwrapping the marginally dusty tree Phillipa and Nis set about giving it the TLC it needed…

The team (by now just Phillipa) set about adding decorations…

Until finally the tree was fully decorated in all it’s glory…

When finished you could actually feel the festive spirit through the company, just look how excited Bronwyn is…

Now to finish off the rest of the building. Winter wonderland complete.
