Blippar – Augmented Reality for Advertising

Recently Blippar, an augmented reality app created with advertising in mind, teamed up with Tesco to run a series of innovative ads in a national newspaper. Blipper uses a “magic lens” to turn 2D print advertising into an on screen 3D interactive experience. Instead of having to locate a QR code, scan it and wait for the experience to begin, Blippar works by “recognising things in the real world”. Without taking a picture, you can hold up your in-built phone camera to an advert or product and the screen will come alive with an interactive brand experience. With big names such as Tesco, Marmite and Cadbury’s having a go at using the technology we’re expecting much more to come from the Blippar team.
Evian brings back babies for new TV ad

Just when you thought Evian’s advertising strategy couldn’t get any cuter, it brings back the babies we all love so much. This time they’re still dancing, but its a little more subtle than before. This ad is just as entertaining as its predecessor, and we’re sure it will be another viral hit. Check it out here:

TV smashing – girlfriends get their own back courtesy of LG

As part of their LED TV campaign in Israel, LG offered long-suffering girlfriends a way to get their own back on their couch potato partners!
LG set up a Facebook Group to recruit 5 women for the campaign, who were then secretely filmed ‘candid camera’ style smashing their boyfriends TVs while they watched.
The LG team came to the rescue shortly afterwards with a brand new LED TV for the shell-shocked men, but pausing for sufficiently long enough to get some hilarious reactions!

ING human billboards get people talking

Want to get people talking about your ad? Then get your ad to talk to them. Literally!
ING Direct Italy is so convinced about the power of word of mouth it has created a series of brilliant human interactive billboards on walls, buses and and buildings. Research by ING Direct found that the growth of its online banking was largely down to its own clients word of mouth. So it’s fitting that ING Direct has chosen its own customers to star in the ads.
