Dairy brand Emmi UK is launching an eight-week supermarket roadshow to promote its cholesterol-reducing miniCol cheese to the over-55 market. A mobile miniCol stand will be placed at the entrances to supermarkets nationwide, where Brand Ambassadors will explain the scientifically-proven benefits of miniCol cheese and offer free samples. A theatre chef will prepare a selection of everyday recipes using miniCol cheese.

Video games publisher Capcom has lunched a pan-European experiential roadshow to promote its new MotoGP 08 game to trackside fans of MotoGP, the world’s fastest growing motor sport. An arcade of 13 multi-player gaming stations will be set up on an open, branded stand, with a large external plasma screen displaying the games in action. Visitors to the stand will also be able to play a range of other Capcom games. The roadshow will appear at eight of the European MotoGP races.

Cider brand Strongbow is bringing a new experience to this summer’s music festivals with its ‘Bowtime Bar’ – a fully operational bar complete with extensive seating, live music and DJ’S. The experience aims to reward drinkers with ‘Bowtime’ – ‘a moment of pleasurable release sparked by the first pint refreshment of Strongbow’. Brand Ambassadors will also be roaming the festival’s campsites giving free Strongbow vouchers to festival-goers who look in ‘need’ of refreshment.

Sony Pictures has teamed up with local cinema staff throughout the USA to stage a series of scary stunts to promote its forthcoming teenage horror movie ‘Prom Night’. Oversized cardboard standees, designed to look like the entrance to a ballroom and surrounded by life-size cut-outs of the film’s main characters, have been placed in foyers of participating cinemas. Carrying the signage ‘Open the door for a night to die for’, once the cinema-goers take the bait and open the door, a cinema employee jumps out shrieking!

This July, tourist body Visit London is giving local and international business workers in London a chance to top up their tans and still meet their deadlines by transforming St James’s Park into a fully functioning outdoor office. The ‘office’ comes complete with free Wi-Fi, reception desk (with receptionist), a boardroom, a brainstorm room and 12 hot-desk areas. The project aims to encourage Londoners get out of the office and enjoy one of the hundreds of green spaces in the capital.
