To celebrate its collaboration with three new artists, Google staged a three-day experiential stunt in New York’s meatpacking district this month. Colourful moving images were projected onto facades of several buildings in busy parts of the district. Passers-by were encouraged to play around with the images on computer stations in a nearby lounge area, complete with white furniture, Google-branded cushions and a clear roof that allowed visitors to view the projections in the rain.
