Ecological brand Ecover extended its experiential activity to France last month to tie in with the brand’s sponsorship of world leading yachtsman Mike Golding. At the biannual race from Le Havre to the Brazilian port of Salvador de Bahia, Ecover’s environmentally friendly toilets were placed at the event and fully stocked with its ecological hand gel. French speaking Brand Ambassadors were recruited to converse with spectators and all branding on the campaign trailer was recreated in French.

Tissue manufacturer Kimberley-Clark is touring major cities in the US this month with its ‘Be Kind to Your Behind’ experiential campaign promoting its Cottonelle brand of toilet tissue.  Brand Ambassadors aboard a fully branded ‘Cottonelle Comfort Haven Bus’ will invite passers-by to experience the buses themed comfort areas and learn more about Cottonelle products. Visitors can experience the comfort-product bar, complimentary massage area and yoga station. The roadshow kicks off in New York this March.

Home fragrance brand Ambi Pur is embarking on a ‘Fragrance Challenge’ roadshow this month to help consumers ‘inspire their senses’. Brand Ambassadors will challenge consumers to a ‘blind fragrance test’ to identify the real perfume essence of Ambi Pur versus competitor products. The activity takes place at 15 shopping centres throughout the UK before finishing at the Ideal Home Show in April. In addition, a campaign microsite offers consumers Ambi Pur promotions and exclusive design tips from celebrity home designers Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan.

Guinness set stout taste-test

Guinness is launching an experiential sampling campaign at rugby grounds across the country to drive sales of its canned stout. Brand Ambassadors in a mobile Guinness bar will invite rugby fans to take part in a taste test to prove the canned product is indistinguishable from its draught version.

Crisp brand Walkers will be touring the country throughout 2008 with its famous Hot Crisps Van as part of an experiential campaign to reinforce the message that Walkers crisps are made from 100% British potatoes. The campaign will show consumers the ‘simple pleasure’ of eating Walkers crisps and will reflect the brand’s latest TV advert starring Gary Lineker.
