Energy provider E.On is hitting the road this autumn with its ‘E.On Energy Challenge’ – an experiential roadshow that educates consumers on how to save energy in the home. An interactive walk-though ‘house’ containing energy-saving tips is the centrepiece of the roadshow. Visitors receive an ‘Energy Challenge’ gamecard and are challenged to find the answers inside the house. Trained Brand Ambassadors are on hand distributing energy-saving light bulbs and activity sheets for children. In addition, consumers can play ‘Wind of Chance’, a ‘Crystal Maze’ style game where contestants can win eco-friendly prizes by collecting as many flying tickets as possible.

Sony is supporting its Bravia range of TV’s with experiential activity based on its recent ‘Playdoh Bunnies’ TV ad. Touring retail locations throughout the UK, ‘The Bravia Experience’ is split into four zones, with each colour-coded area representing a different Playdoh character and containing various Bravia models. Consumers are invited to tour the zones, and offered product information by trained Brand Ambassadors. People who purchase a Bravia TV with a screen bigger than 40″ will receive a free PSP hand held games console.

Coffee brand Nescafe is using personality profiling to help consumers find their perfect latte in a 17-week roadshow to mark the launch of its Coffee-Mate Latte Creations. Brand Ambassadors carry out ‘cheeky’ personality questionnaires on passers-by to determine their preferred strength and flavour of coffee before offering them a coffee most suited to their responses. Consumers will also receive promotional money-off coupons.

Confectionery brand Quality Street is launching a festive in-store promotion this month to showcase its new improved flavours in the run up to Christmas. A specially-designed Christmas tree made entirely of Quality Street’s iconic green triangle chocolates and lit with sweet-shaped lights will tour supermarkets nationwide, mirroring the brand’s current TV ads. Brand Ambassadors in festive purple Quality Street outfits will encourage shoppers to sample the new flavours. Participants will be given a sweet-shaped ‘bauble’ on which to write their family’s Christmas wish and hang on the tree. At the end of the campaign, Quality Street will make wishes come true for three lucky families.

Metro, the free daily newspaper, created a giant 80′s themed igloo and chill out area at the recent Ski and Snowboard show at the London Olympia in an experiential campaign to promote the brand’s headline sponsorship. Brand Ambassadors in eye-catching 1980′s ski- wear invited visitors inside the igloo where they could dress up for a photo shoot in front of a superimposed snow scene of their choice. Visitors were given the photo as a souvenir, with the 20 funniest photos showcased on the paper’s website.
