Carlsberg paved the streets of London with free money in its latest experiential stunt. The cash, £1500 in used tens and twenties, was scattered throughout the city’s streets, each note carrying the strapline “Carlsberg don’t do litter, but if they did it would probably be the best litter in the world”.

Innocent is replacing its renowned Fruitstock festival with a series of village fetes in some of the UK’s biggest cities this summer. The fetes aim to bring the countryside into the city and to reinforce the brand’s laid-back and environmentally-friendly image. Visitors will be able to experience traditional family-orientated fete activities such as welly-wanging, coconut shies, assault courses, flower arranging, cake stalls and an animal farm.  The brand aims to give the whole family a totally ‘innocent experience’.

All aboard for Pimm’s

Drinks brand Pimm’s is heading back on the road with its Pimm’s tour bus this summer to bring its ‘Anyone for Pimm’s’ message to music festival fans throughout the UK. The modified route master bus – around an old gentleman’s club, with a lower deck sampling bar and upstairs viewing gallery –  be surrounded by branded deck chairs and rugs to create a Pimm’s picnic area. The campaign is part of an annual drive by the brand to further the public’s association between Pimm’s and the British summer.

Rums of the world unite

The Rum Experience, part of the UK’s first ever RumFest, is bringing together the world’s most and least recognised rum brands in a two day celebration to showcase the rums of the world. Visitors to the event will have a chance to meet and interact with master blenders, distillers and cocktail mixologists from all over the world, as well as participate in taste sessions and receive tutoring from rum enthusiasts. A main stage will provide live entertainment in what is set to be a total ‘Rum Experience’.

It’s raining WiFi

WiFi network The Cloud is using experiential activity to promote its new WiFi mobility network in London’s Square Mile, a move set to benefit 350,000 City workers. Weather Girls in yellow rain macs will be positioned throughout the Square Mile delivering the benefits of Cloud’s WiFi network coverage in the style of a weather report – “The entire city is covered by Cloud”. In addition, the City’s public places will see actors playing out office scenes designed to showcase the benefits to the cities workers of embracing The Cloud network.
